AEW Star Returns From Injury After Four Months Away

AEW Star Returns From Injury After Four Months Away AEW

After being out of in-ring action with injury for four months, an AEW star has had a match at tonight’s taping.

Madison Rayne has been out of action since April after she suffered a foot injury during a dark match with Robyn Renegade.

However, Rayne made her in-ring return at tonight’s AEW Dynamite taping in a dark match before the show against Dani Mo.

While Rayne hasn’t been competing in in-ring competition, she recently discussed having continued her coaching role while she was away from in-ring competition.

Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, the AEW Women’s World Championship title was on the line in the main event of the show.

Hikaru Shida successfully defended her AEW Women’s World Championship title against Anna Jay.

Shida will advance to the announced AEW Women’s title match for AEW All In at London’s Wembley Stadium where she will defend the title against Toni Storm and two other women as yet to be determined.

There will be a match on Rampage between Saraya and Skye Blue to determine one of the remaining slots whereas Britt Baker will face The Bunny on next week’s Dynamite to round out the field of four.
