AEW Star Provides Update Ahead Of Double Knee Replacement Surgery AEW

An injured AEW star has provided an update ahead of undergoing double knee replacement surgery later this month.

Following his brutal TNT Championship match with Kyle Fletcher on the July 31 episode of AEW Collision, Dustin Rhodes took to social media to announce that he was set to undergo double knee replacement surgery on August 21.

Previously stating that both his knees were “destroyed”, Rhodes has now provided an update on his health prior to going under the knife in a week’s time.

Posting on Twitter, Dustin wrote:

Pre Op work being done on my knees today. Iovera shots in the nerves hurts like a bitch. But now my knees feel no pain at the moment.

Can’t wait for August 21st to get here. Tired of this pain.

Plus the hole in my leg is almost healed thank God.

During the Chicago Street Fight with Fletcher on July 31, the Australian star drove a screwdriver into the knee of Rhodes – seemingly as an attempt to cover for Rhodes’ legitimate injuries.

While he lost his TNT Title to Fletcher in that match, Rhodes is still the reigning ROH World Tag Team Champion alongside Sammy Guevara, as well as one third of the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions alongside Marshall and Ross Von Erich.

No announcement has been made regarding the future of either set of titles as of the time of writing.

We continue to wish Dustin all the best in his recovery and will provide updates on his condition as new information becomes available.
