WWE held it’s latest batch of talent cuts on Thursday, September 21, when many names were released from the company across both the main roster and NXT.
Over the years, many of the stars released from WWE have landed in AEW, and there has been speculation about some of the latest group of names potentially joining the company.
Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, AEW star Matt Hardy discussed the WWE releases, and which names he could see eventually landing in AEW.
Hardy named Shelton Benjamin, Dolph Ziggler and Mustafa Ali as the three he could see in AEW eventually.
He said:
“I could see the three names I just mentioned, Shelton Benjamin, I could see Dolph Ziggler. I could see Mustafa Ali. I could see all those guys doing something there. I have to go back and look at the list.”
The list of names publicly known to have been released from the company as of September 25 is as followed:
