Top AEW Stars Set For Jay Briscoe Tribute Match At ROH Final Battle

Top AEW stars Blackpool Combat Club are now set for the Jay Briscoe tribute match at ROH Final Battle on Friday, December 15.

On the December 7 edition of ROH TV on Honor Club, Bryan Danielson and ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta of the Blackpool Combat Club appeared to challenge FTR and Mark Briscoe to a trios match in honor of Jay Briscoe at ROH Final Battle.

The former two-time ROH World Champion tragically passed away on January 17 after a car accident.

His final match took place at last year’s Final Battle when he teamed with his brother Mark to face FTR in a Dog Collar Match for the ROH World Tag Team Championships.

On Friday, December 8, ROH CEO Tony Khan announced that the match is now official for Final Battle 2023 next Friday. The tweet reads:

Next Friday, 6 of the world’s best wrestlers will fight to honor Jay Briscoe!

ROH Final Battle 2023 will be headlined by Athena defending the ROH Women’s World Championship against Billie Starkz.

Also announced for the pay-per-view, Keith Lee will face Shane Taylor and there will be a six-way Survival of the Fittest Match to crown a new ROH TV Champion.
