AEW Stars Featured On WWE Raw

While it isn’t quite the ‘Forbidden Door’ opening, WWE Raw has continued to acknowledge the existence of AEW stars on tonight’s show.

While Cody Rhodes made an AEW reference in an emotional in-ring segment on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, that wasn’t all.

In a moment noting stars in attendance at this weekend’s UFC 299, Rhea Ripley was shown with former WWE star turned AEW star, Buddy Matthews.

When showing Ripley, Pat McAfee on commentary hilariously asked “who’s she with” and got no answer from Michael Cole.

Also, during the Intercontinental Championship video package, former WWE star turned All Elite Wrestling original Chris Jericho was shown on screen.

Speaking of which, it’ll be Sami Zayn, who defeated Chad Gable in tonight’s gauntlet match, who challenges GUNTHER for the IC Title at WrestleMania.

On last week’s episode of Raw, commentary acknowledged the icon Sting’s retirement match that had occurred at AEW Revolution the night before.

It just goes to show, there are ways to support all of professional wrestling and not just one company or another!

Still to come this week in WWE to AEW news, it is exxpected that the former Sasha Banks will officially debut at AEW Big Business as Mercedes Mone.
