The Elite Vs. Blackpool Combat Club Draws AEW Dynamite’s Lowest Viewership Of 2023 AEW

The viewership figures for the highly praised main event segment of Wednesday’s (June 14) edition of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.

The final segment of the show was an eventful one. After Hangman Page and the Young Bucks defeated the Blackpool Combat Club in trios action, Eddie Kingston made his AEW return to beat down members of the latter faction.

Konosuke Takeshita then took out Kingston, before Omega entered to side with the Elite.

Following all of this chaos, NJPW star Will Ospreay ambushed Kenny Omega ahead of their IWGP US Title bout at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door.

Despite having an explosive closing segment, AEW didn’t end the night on a viewership high.

Per Wrestlenomics (via Raj Giri), the final 15 minutes of the show, featuring the trios match and all of the aftermath, averaged 699,000 viewers.

This is the lowest viewership for any Dynamite quarter this year, and one of the lowest quarters of any episode of Dynamite in its regular time slot since NXT moved off Wednesdays.

Overall, the entire episode averaged 832,000 viewers, with a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

The episode also opened with huge match, with AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole wrestling to a time-limit draw in their title eliminator bout.

A fan involved in an incident with MJF during this bout has now commented on these events.
