AEW Star Believes He’ll ‘Definitely Cross Paths’ With Former WWE Teammate WWE/AEW

An AEW star has addressed the possibility of him working with his former WWE teammate, believing that their paths will cross eventually.

With Bobby Lashley reuniting with Shelton Benjamin and MVP in AEW, the Almighty has noted that he’s surprised he hasn’t crossed paths with another former ally since arriving in his current home promotion.

In an interview with WFAA, Bobby Lashley was asked about potentially reuniting with Lio Rush in AEW.

Noting that he’ll definitely cross paths with Rush if they both remain with the company, Lashley said:

“I love Lio, I say it all the time. I think Lio has a tremendous amount of talent across the board, he’s always, always doing something, he just needs a platform to be able to do it. Am I gonna do something with Lio? I don’t know. I really don’t know.

“I’m sure down the road if I spend some time with AEW, we are definitely gonna cross paths. I mean, he has a tag team partner, so I’m surprised that we have not crossed paths in that capacity.

“I think we are definitely going to do something while I’m here in AEW, for sure.”

Lashley and Rush were first paired together in September 2018, with Rush initially acting as Lashley’s hype man and manager.

The duo shared the ring a number of times ahead of their split in April 2019, most recently teaming together on the March 18, 2019 Raw episode against Finn Balor and Braun Strowman.

Bobby Lashley is one half of the AEW Tag Team Champions, alongside Shelton Benjamin. Lio Rush is currently teaming with Action Andretti as CRU.
