ALL IN 2 Plans REVEALED?! Backstage Chris Jericho News! WrestleTalk News Video

All In Reactions

It was just one moment in a night of celebration for non-WWE wrestling – which has gone down incredibly well with both fans and wrestlers alike. Bully Ray, who featured in the ROH matches on the show, tweeted:

“The biggest compliment I can pay to #ALLIN is… I haven’t seen wrestlers and fans have that much passion, energy and FUN since ECW ONS. Myself included. ?”

WWE star Daniel Bryan – who was rumoured to feature on the show if WWE wouldn’t medically clear him to return – praised:

What @CodyRhodes, @MattJackson13 and @NickJacksonYB have done to create a groundswell in the wrestling community is both incredible and inspiring. Not only is it great for fans but also for wrestlers and the industry as a whole. Congratulations on what will be an amazing event.

And the organiser and new NWA Champion Cody Rhodes posted:

“24 hours removed and I can’t stop smiling. One passion led to a new one. I hope it wasn’t my only night as an executive producer. Thanks Matt & Nick for producing it with me. You’re fearless and it was a fearless show.”

24 hours later it might seem fearless. But in the moment, when the show had significantly overran and you needed to negotiate a minute extra time with the PPV company, you might have been a little worried.

All In Overrun

According to the Wrestling Observer and PWInsider, the Omega/Pentagon match with Jericho appearing at the end went 15 minutes over its allotted time, Marty Scurll vs Kazuchika Okada overran by 12 minutes and Hangman Page vs Joey Janela also went long, the dicks – no, seriously, that’s partly the literal dicks who came out after the match’s fault. This meant that the 6 man tag main event of Rey Mysterio, Fenix and Bandido vs the Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi had to be cut from 28 minutes to just 12, with each team having to come out as one, rather than separate entrances for each man.

Apparently every second counted at the end, as All In’s production team were frantically negotiating with the PPV provider as the 11pm cut off time was approaching to have the feed extended by just one minute. They accepted, the Bucks called for the finish early, and the show went off air three seconds before the time limit.
