Japanese wrestling legend Antonio Inoki was unfortunately hospitalised last month, and Dave Meltzer has provided an update on his health status on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio.
Dave Meltzer notes that Inoki is “in real rough shape” at the moment. Unfortunately, Inoki is believed to be dealing with some “major back problems”, with Meltzer having the following to say on the matter:
“He’s in rough shape. He’s very frail. It’s been concerning for the whole year, since January about Inoki, because he’s had a lot of issues. His back, I think he’s got some really major back problems. He’s been wheelchair-bound for the most part. And during COVID people weren’t really allowed to see him, and it’s been tough. He had surgery on his intestine just recently, so he’s recovering from that, so he’s in real rough shape.”
