Positive Update On Afa Anoa’i Of The Wild Samoans Following Health Scare WWE

There has been a positive update on WWE Hall of Famer Afa Anoa’i, who was recently hospitalised following a health scare.

Afa was taken into hospital on Thursday January 11 with Pneumonia, however, would then proceed to suffer a pair of heart attacks, one shortly following his admission and another on Friday.

Thankfully, as described by Afa’s daughter Vale in a post on Facebook the heart attacks were “small”, with it being noted that the legendary pillar of the Anoa’i family was doing okay, but was not out of the woods.

The post read:

Update on Afa the Wild Samoan, affectionately known as Pops: Afa was admitted to the hospital last night with pneumonia, but had a mild heart attack upon arrival. Today, he had a second small heart attack and was sent for a heart catheterization.

He is doing ok, his spirits are high. He isn’t out of the woods yet, but will be kept in the hospital for a day or two for observation and monitoring.

He thanks everyone for their concern, continued love, and prayers.

Following this on Sunday, January 14, a series of follow up posts were made to Afa’s Facebook page revealing that the Hall of Famer would thankfully be getting discharged from hospital.

The posts included videos of Afa walking of his own accord, thanking the staff who looked after him and even revealing that he was looking forward to getting home to watch football.

Afa, full name Afa Amituana’i ‘Arthur’ Anoa’i, wrestled as one half of the Wild Samoans alongside his brother Sika.

The uncle of Roman Reigns, Afa notably made an appearance alongside Sika at Hell in a Cell 2020 to gift Reigns the Tribal Chief lei, or Ula Fala.

We would like to continue to wish Afa the best in his recovery at home.
