New AEW Signing Leaked?

A potential new signing for AEW may have been leaked.

Following his impressive match against Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite on September 28, Bandido was reportedly offered a contract with AEW.

An update has now emerged on Bandido’s status. As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

“The only thing I was told regarding Bandido is that he had verbally agreed to terms and everyone was going with the idea he was coming in, but nobody could confirm if he’s put actual pen to paper. But we’ve basically been told he’s considered in.”

This report suggests that talks with AEW have progressed well, and Bandido is seemingly ‘in,’ however the paperwork may yet to be officially signed.

Bandido recently confirmed that he was in talks with AEW, but also shared that WWE had made an offer.

Previously, it was reported that Bandido was ‘leaning toward’ AEW, and this seems to be the case if the latest update is anything to go by.

Chris Jericho has been open about his admiration for Bandido and admitted that it was his goal to get the luchador an AEW deal following their match together.

Bandido has been a consistent performer on the independent scene, and most recently took part in a trios championship match at AAA TripleMania XXX: Mexico City on Oct 15th.
