An AEW star has taken to Instagram to reveal a recent injury suffered on this past Friday’s AEW Rampage (June 16).
On Rampage Bandido took on Konosuke Takeshita in an entertaining bout, however, as well as suffering the loss on the night it seems as if Bandido also walked away with a broken wrist for his troubles.
Posting to Instagram alongside an x-ray image of the injury Bandido wrote:
In AEW rampage my wrist was broke 🫤 my first medical check up said I need a surgery. I will know what happened on Monday. sorry to all my people
Bandido has been an official member of the AEW roster since November 2022 whilst continuing to compete in his native Mexico for promotions such as AAA.
Takeshita has been making waves in AEW recently, drawing massive heat from the live crowds for his betrayal of Kenny Omega and The Elite at Double or Nothing, in-turn aligning himself with Don Callis.
Despite not appearing on the show, The Elite have been a topic of discussion online following CM Punk’s return promo on AEW Collision (June 17).
The Young Bucks would even post a cryptic response to some of Punk’s comments, to find out more follow this link here.
Another AEW star responded to Punk’s promo, claiming that the company ‘won’t let him in the ring’ with Punk.
We at Wrestletalk would like to extend our well-wishes to Bandido in his recovery.
