Batista Calls Out Triple H On SmackDown 1000

Evolution made their first ever appearance as a foursome on SmackDown, reuniting on the historic SmackDown 1000.

All four members had a chance to speak, cracking jokes and generally having a good time. Randy Orton even showed his humorous side, joking that Batista has spent more time in a make-up chair than a ring in recent years.

But it was Batista who was given the most time on the stick. With his hometown crowd firmly behind him, the Guardians Of The Galaxy star delivered a long speech putting over the WWE fans and his Evolution team mates.

He said that Orton had more talent in his little finger than most wrestlers that had ever stepped foot in a ring, joked about Ric Flair “keeping it in his pants” and shined up Triple H, saying there is nothing he has not done in the business.

Except beat him.

The mood changed, briefly, then everyone hugged and smiled. However, one angry grimace from Triple H as the segment ended told the story.

This was the start of something.

Rumours have been flying that Batista is interested in a short-term, full-time return to the company and a match with Triple H at WrestleMania is apparently already being talked about.
