WWE made it’s most recent set of releases last night (April 29), releasing 10 names from the NXT roster, including Dakota Kai and Malcolm Bivens.
The wrestling world has reacted to Dakota’s departure, send her their virtual love, with Dakota herself now releasing a statement.
Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley is one of the many to send their appreciation to Dakota, with her posting a series of tweets detailing how she helped her rehab her injury, and wanting to get healthy to work with her.
She wrote:
I can never fully express how much Dakota Kai has helped me during my injury process. She constantly checks in on me, reassures what I’m feeling is only temporary, and shares her experience with me so I don’t feel alone…
… And Dakota is one of the main reasons I couldn’t wait to get healthy. For the opportunity to wrestle her, to work alongside her, to make history with her. Now I just have to be jealous of whoever gets to. We love you Charlie! See you around
The released NXT talent are subject to a 30-day non compete clause before they are able to work elsewhere.
Bayley is currently still sidelined with an ACL injury. For a list of all currently injured WWE stars, click here.
