On tonight’s edition of AEW Rampage (August 19) another team advanced in the AEW Trios Tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Trios Champions.
The AEW World Trios Championship tournament continued tonight as the Trustbusters (Ari Daivari, Slim J, and Parker Boudreaux) will face the Best Friends trio of Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, and Chuck Taylor.
In the end it took a little help from Danhausen, who gifted Best Friends with the distraction when he cursed Slim J (but not before politely requesting Sonny Kiss move out of its dastardly trajectory.)
All three were then able to pull off an impressive finishing move (which you can see for yourself below!) to capture the victory and advance in the AEW World Trios Championship tournament.
They will face the winner of the upcoming House of Black versus Dark Order match.
The AEW World Trios Championship tournament is set to conclude at AEW’s next pay-per-view, All Out on September 4, 2022 in Chicago, Illinois.
