Fellow New Day member Big E has revealed how he reacted to Kofi Kingston losing his WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar in just a seven second match.
Lesnar beat Kingston with just a single F-5 straight after the bell on the premiere episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX on October 4.
This put a rather abrupt end to Kingston’s 180-day reign after he beat Daniel Bryan for the title at WrestleMania 35.
New Day joined Corey Graves on the After The Bell podcast to discuss this match. Big E gave his view:
“Kofi is a lot more level-headed than maybe anyone else that I have met in the business because everyone else would have reacted, I was irate when I found out about it and I think that is a testament to Kofi. I’m not going say no one else in the industry, but very few people would have had that same approach and be able to move on. And not have that feeling of sour grapes and that they were wronged.”
