Bloodline Family Member Debuts On WWE NXT

A Bloodline family member made their WWE debut to close out tonight’s episode of NXT after it had been reported they signed with the company.

For a long time, it has been reported that WWE has had interest in signing Zilla Fatu, the son of the legendary Umaga and the latest Anoa’i Family member to enter the world of wrestling.

Zilla had reportedly been spotted at the WWE Performance Center a number of times over the past few months, with WWE having interest in bringing him into the company.

Over the weekend, Zilla Fatu was in action at the House of Glory High Intensity event, where he defended his HoG Crown Jewel Championship against The Amazing Red.

Red would pick up the win over Zilla to capture the title, before he took to the microphone after the match, telling Zilla ‘good luck’, which only ramped up speculation about what could be next for Zilla.

Zilla Fatu Debuts On WWE NXT

Earlier today, it was reported by False Finish that Zilla had been spotted at the WWE Performance Center today, with the belief being that he had signed with WWE.

It didn’t take long for those reports to be confirmed, as tonight’s WWE NXT main event saw Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller face off for the right to face Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Championship at NXT Heatwave.

However, the match didn’t get an ending, with Zilla making his WWE debut to take out both Waller and Santana and staking his claim to the NXT Championship.

Unlike recent free agent signings that joined NXT, Zilla was immediately referred to by the name ‘Zilla Fatu’ both on commentary and on social media, implying he will indeed still be using that name in WWE.

Will Zilla Fatu Join The Bloodline?

Zilla debuting in NXT was somewhat unexpected, as many had expected he would immediately link up with the reunited Bloodline on the main roster.

However, Zilla is still rather new in the wrestling business, and while he is already very impressive and has a lot of potential, him starting out in NXT is the right call for his long-term success.

With the Bloodline reunited on Raw, Zilla’s stint in NXT may end up being short lived, as WWE may not be able to resist adding Zilla as new blood to the Bloodline.
