Bray Wyatt Takes Shot At Roman Reigns’ WWE Universal Title Reign WWE

Bray Wyatt has taken a shot at Roman Reigns’ WWE Universal Championship reign, with Reigns’ recently passing a major title milestone.

Reigns is currently recognised as the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion, after claiming both the WWE and Universal titles in a Winner Takes All match at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022.

The Tribal Chief had already had a lengthy Universal Title reign ahead of that event, with Reigns becoming SmackDown’s top champion in August 2020.

While Reigns has been the undisputed titleholder for 323 days, he recently passed 900 days as Universal Champion.

One person who doesn’t seem impressed with Reigns’ run is Bray Wyatt, who questioned Reigns’ original title win on Twitter.

Replying to a WWE on BT Sport post about Reigns’ championship stint, Wyatt questioned:

Yeah but HOW did he win it?

Reigns won the Universal Championship in a three-way bout at Payback 2020 against Braun Strowman and champion ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt, following an odd turn of events.

The Tribal Chief refused to sign his contract for the match until after the match had started, and only chose to join after Strowman and Wyatt had broken the ring with a superplex, 10 minutes into the bout.

A few minutes later, Reigns pinned Strowman to win Wyatt’s title.

Wyatt didn’t have a rematch with Reigns for the gold.

Reigns most recently defended his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship against Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber, and is now set to defend his title against Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 in April.
