Bron Breakker & More NXT Stars Set For WWE SmackDown

Several NXT stars, including Bron Breakker, are reportedly scheduled for this week’s February 2 episode of WWE SmackDown in Birmingham.

NXT Vengeance Day is set to take place on Sunday, February 4 in Clarksville, Tennessee, but a few of the names on the card will be making a stop at SmackDown first.

According to PWInsider Elite (via WrestlingNews.co), Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams are all scheduled to be at SmackDown this week.

Hayes and Williams both appeared on the show last week as Hayes had a rematch from two weeks prior against Austin Theory – Hayes lost and was attacked post-match by Theory and Grayson Waller before Williams came out to make the save.

Haus of Wrestling reported after that, that people of influence in WWE were “blown away” by the reaction Williams got from fans, and some even consider him a potential future WrestleMania main eventer.

As for Breakker, he was a last-minute addition to the Royal Rumble match in the place of Brock Lesnar.

On the following episode of Raw, a video package for Breakker aired, as well as SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis telling Raw GM Adam Pearce that he was getting a phone call from Breakker, implying there are negotiations happening.

Dragon Lee, who was officially called up to SmackDown but has ended up working in NXT again for the past few weeks, is also on the card for Vengeance Day and expected at SmackDown.

At Vengeance Day, Breakker will team with Baron Corbin against Hayes and Williams in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament final.

Later in the night, Williams will also challenge Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship.

Dragon Lee challenges Oba Femi for the North American Championship.

SmackDown this week is also advertising appearances from Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul.

Bayley also said she’ll reveal which opponent she’s choosing to face at WrestleMania out of IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.
