There has been a a major update on the WWE status of Bron Breakker after his title loss on tonight’s April 9 NXT.
On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, the Wolf Dogs (Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin) lost their NXT Tag Team Championship to Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
According to fans in attendance at the show, after the show went off the air Bron Breakker came back to the ring along with Corbin.
Breakker thanked the fans, Corbin and other NXT personnel, with Corbin saying that Breakker will be heading to SmackDown.
It was several weeks ago that Breakker ‘officially signed’ with SmackDown and he’s had a couple of quick matches, but he’d still mainly been in NXT since then,
As for the landing place for Baron Corbin, we’ll have to stay tuned to the 2024 WWE Draft to find out if there are any changes to his brand status or if he’ll stick in NXT.
Unfortunately for the team that beat the Wolf Dogs, Axiom and Nathan Frazer, their title celebration was extremely short-lived.
After being announced as the new champions, they were promptly attacked by the Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) who were accompanied by the rest of the Final Testament – Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Paul Ellering.
