A number of former WWE stars returned at this year’s Royal Rumble match and one of them was Carlito. He wrestled his first match for WWE in almost 11 years and now he has revealed who was pushing for him to return.
While speaking to Wrestling Inc., Carlito revealed that it was The Hurt Business who wanted to see him back. Here is the quote:
“A couple of the boys have been talking backstage like MVP, Shelton [Benjamin], Bobby [Lashley], The Hurt Business guys have always been throwing my name around in the back. So I think they’re the ones that got the ball rolling, and then [Mark] Carrano ended up calling me and asked if I want to be in The Rumble. It was a good two days.”
Carlito also appeared on Raw the next night. He teamed with Jeff Hardy as the pair successfully defeated Elias and Jaxson Ryker. To date, this is his most recent appearance for WWE.
