Carmelo Hayes Shares Update After WWE Match Stoppage Due To Scary Moment WWE

WWE star Carmelo Hayes has taken to Twitter after his match was stopped on Friday’s (January 12) edition of SmackDown.

During this week’s episode, Hayes faced off against Austin Theory in singles action.

The match ended via referee stoppage after Hayes and Theory’s heads appeared to collide in a Spanish Fly spot.

With the show continuing and cameras throwing to commentary, fans both in the arena and at home were concerned about the two stars’ statuses.

Carmelo Hayes has now tweeted a GIF of the Undertaker rising from his casket, appearing to tell his followers that he’s doing okay.

WWE has shared an update on Hayes and Theory, sharing the following on social media:

UPDATE: Following their match tonight on #SmackDown, @_Theory1 and @Carmelo_WWE were evaluated for injuries.

They both suffered face contusions, and will both be okay.

Despite Hayes’ recent visits to SmackDown, he’s still listed as an NXT star on WWE.com.

Hayes previously competed in the United States Championship tournament, defeating Grayson Waller in the first round and losing to Kevin Owens in the semi-finals.
