CM Punk Comments On AEW Debut Teases

Again, I don’t need to go into it all again. CM Punk is going to AEW and will debut on AEW Rampage in the United Center on August 20, those are the rumours, that’s what has been teased, both by Punk himself and by AEW.

CM Punk recently spoke to Sunday Night’s Main Event, where he spoke about the teases that AEW has put out regarding his impending debut. Punk was asked where he would be on August 20, to which he said:

“I think I might be doing a screening, this isn’t confirmed yet so I probably shouldn’t blast this out everywhere, but we’re talking about doing a screening of episode three of Heels at AMC in Chicago. That’s one of the dates that has been proposed. I hope to see everybody there,”

Punk was also asked about Darby Allin’s promo referencing the ‘Best In The World’, which Punk also denies is about him. He said:

“Best in the World, that could be anybody. That’s (Daniel) Bryan, right? That’s my assumption. I hear ‘Best in the World,’ I think Bryan.”

Punk went on to put over Darby Allin, claiming that no-one else should do dives in wrestling because his look so much better. He said:

“I think Darby Allin is great. Everybody in the wrestling world needs to never do a dive again because you can’t do it better than Darby. If you watch Darby wrestle, he looks like he’s trying to murder somebody. It doesn’t get any better than that. Stop doing dives, everybody.”

Well there you have it folks, CM Punk will be attending a screening of Heels on August 20th. He’d have no reason to lie, right?
