CM Punk has reflected on being back in MSG ahead of the December 26 live event.
At WWE Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk made his return to the company for the first time in nearly a decade. Since then, Punk has officially decided to sign with the Raw brand and declared himself for the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
The company announced that the former AEW star will make his in-ring return at the December 26 live event in Madison Square Garden.
In a video posted to the WWE Twitter account, Punk stepped back in MSG and reflected on what it felt like being back. He said:
“I don’t know if it’s hot in here or I just got flush. I mean this is cool. This is a cool moment, you know. This is a place I thought I’d never be again.”
“I’m trying to think of the last time I was here. It was a Misfits show, Misfits and Rancid opened up for them. That was the last time I was in Madison Square Garden, but in a wrestling capacity, this is strange.”
Punk will face The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio on the MSG Holiday event.
