CM Punk Plans Changed On WWE Raw, Real Reason Confirmed WWE

Plans for the CM Punk promo that closed last night’s episode of WWE Raw were changed, and the reason why has been revealed.

Punk ended up with just over five minutes to get his promo out, during which he said he was “home”, but ended by saying he’s not in WWE to make friends, he’s there to make money.

If it seemed short, that’s because it did end up getting less time than initially planned.

As reported by PWInsider, the WWE Raw match that preceded Punk’s promo – Randy Orton vs Dominik Mysterio – went long.

That was the last thing before Punk’s promo, so there was no ability to shorten anything else in between to give Punk more time, he was just left with the time that was left.

PWInsider confirmed the promo was “abbreviated” from what was originally planned.

There were no further details on what more would have been said if CM Punk did have the time he was initially slotted for. Paul Levesque (Triple H) actually wasn’t backstage and the show was overseen by Bruce Prichard.

We’ll keep you posted with any further updates as they continue to emerge – for details on the backstage reaction to Punk’s presence last night, click here.
