Cody Rhodes has recalled an AEW star’s failed attempt to “shoot his shot” with WWE’s Fallon Henley, back when she was used as an extra in the company.
Prior to joining WWE in late 2021, Fallon Henley became a regular performer on AEW Dark and Dark Elevation in 2020-2021 as Tesha Price. She would also compete on AEW Dynamite on one occasion – losing to Abadon in December 2020.
While she would ultimately find her path in WWE instead, her time in the company did provide a memorable story for former AEW EVP Cody Rhodes, which he gladly recalled to Henley during the latest episode of What Do You Wanna Talk About?
Rhodes detailed an awkward interaction between Henley and AEW’s Aaron Solo, with the latter attempting, and failing to ask the now WWE star out.
Rhodes recalled:
“He (Aaron Solo) often talked about you very fondly and very sincerely. Like ‘She’s so pretty, she’s really smart’ this whole thing. He didn’t talk a lot if you remember? Not Mr. Personality. Last time I saw him I reintroduced myself to him, because that’s how limited our conversations have become over the years.
“He had said so much that we were all like ‘Well you should go talk to her.’ This is a basic, common, you learn this in high school, ‘You should say hello, you should ask her if she wants to hang out, you should do anything. Anything other than talk to us about it.’ We were all sitting adjacent to the elevators, Marriott, Jacksonville, Florida and it’s important with the way I remember the story.
“You walked in and you had a bit of a social club there, there was a group who was always together, it was a good crew. Always seemed to be in good spirits which was good for me because my time there was up and down.
“You walked in and you had a bag of Arby’s and he literally nudged me and he goes ‘I’m gonna go say hi to her, I’m gonna do it.’ And I thought ‘great, do it’ here he goes. Now we’re watching and we’re not roasting him, we’re not giving him a hard time, we’re sincerely looking, hoping this goes well. No one is making fun of him which is normally what guys, what we do to each other.
“You walked past, so he missed that first opportunity and then it’s even weirder now because he trails you to the elevator and you have a group so it’s not looking good. And then you turn and smiled at him, you were very nice. Then he just looked at you and he said ‘Arby’s huh?’ And I feel like I could hear you say because we were far away at this point, and I just heard ‘Yeah.’ And then the elevators shut in my story and then you went away.
“Then he came back to us. Why would you even walk back to us? Walk to your car, drive away, leave this city. All that talk, like a month of build up. All that for that moment? Arby’s huh? He shot his shot I suppose and that was it.”

Henley never got a win during her time in AEW but she did come up against future AEW Women’s World Champions Britt Baker, Kris Statlander and Thunder Rosa.
