A WWE star suffered an injury during rehearsals, leading to his planned match tonight having to be canceled.

Advertised for tonight’s WWE NXT was a AAA crossover with Latin American Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo defending against EK Prosper.

However, ahead of NXT, WWE’s social media took down promotion for the match.

The reason for that became clear during NXT, as the match didn’t take place with the storyline reason being Keanu Carver attacking Vikingo backstage, with the idea he was getting revenge on Prosper for beating him last week by taking away his title shot.

The match was canceled, and instead, Prosper faced Carver in a rematch, which Prosper won to go 2-0 against Carver in as many weeks.

As for Vikingo and the reason the match was canceled, PWInsider reports that Vikingo suffered an injury while he was preparing and going through the match with Prosper earlier today.

It’s unknown how severe the injury is, but evidently it was bad enough that the match was canceled as he had to be evaluated.

The Underrated Potential Of Tavion Heights

Having not been put in too many major positions on NXT TV, Tavion Heights is someone who might have gone under a lot of people’s radars.

However, from the very start, Heights showed that he could translate Olympic wrestling to professional wrestling very effectively.

He could now be getting his chance to show what he can do in some big matches, especially standing on his own instead of in a tag team or a group.

Heights was one of the NXT stars who was sent on an excursion to Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH a couple of years ago, and he received a lot of praise for his work over there from those in Japan.

As an Olympian, there are certainly comparisons that can be made between Heights and the likes of Kurt Angle and Chad Gable, and he certainly isn’t too far away from them in how he’s adjusted to pro wrestling from Olympic wrestling.
