Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has addressed the possibility of his daughters becoming wrestlers, revealing how he’d react to this development.

Cody Rhodes is famously a second-generation wrestler, with the star returning to WWE in April 2022 to win the WWE Championship in honor of his late father, Dusty Rhodes.

With Rhodes’ father and brother both also being wrestlers, and his wife also previously competing in the ring, Cody has revealed that he’d be open to the idea of his daughters getting into the family business, under one condition.

In an interview with US Weekly at the Disney Upfronts, Cody Rhodes was asked about the possibility of his daughters Liberty and Leilani getting into the wrestling business.

Revealing what he’d say to them if they expressed interest in wrestling, Rhodes said:

“I would say the same thing my dad said, which was, ‘Cool, you can go into it, but you have to be the best.’

“That’s easier said than done, but I think they could certainly do it, those two.”

Cody and Brandi Rhodes welcomed Liberty into the world in June 2021, with Leilani arriving in August 2025.

Obviously it’s way too early to predict that Liberty will win the WWE Women’s Championship or anything, but ironically the duo would have the chance to replicate Cody Rhodes’ WWE storyline of winning the one title their father couldn’t… Even if it was only because Cody was ineligible to compete for it.

Cody Rhodes is currently sitting at the top of the mountain in WWE, with his third reign starting on the March 6 SmackDown episode, when he reclaimed the gold from Drew McIntyre.

Rhodes appears to be on a collision course with GUNTHER, with the duo looking set to face off at Clash In Italy.

Elsewhere in the Rhodes family, AEW star Dustin Rhodes’ promotion Rhodes Wrestling Association has announced the in-ring debut of Sting’s son, Garrett Borden, who will wrestle his first ever match on May 17.
