Monday Night Raw star Joe Hendry has revealed that he and WWE have recorded an album which is set for release this Summer.
After wrapping up his time in WWE NXT on April 21, Joe Hendry made the move to WWE Raw the following week and marked the occasion with a first-ever Joe Hendry concert on the red brand.
It was during his performance that Hendry debuted “Can We Fire Logan Paul?”, a catchy single that immediately caught on with fans and, unsurprisingly drew the ire of the social media megastar.
It turns out that Hendry’s debut WWE single is one song of an entire album that is set for release this Summer, information the Scottish star exclusively revealed on the latest episode of Insight with Chris Van Vliet.
When asked about the recording process for his music, Hendry dropped the news of the album release:
“Actually, I could drop an exclusive right here for people. Because this is actually very relevant. So this is an exclusive. I haven’t told anyone anywhere, but I have recorded an album with WWE Music, and it’s going to drop this summer.
“We recorded most of that in New York at the WWE Studios. So what I’ve done now is the microphones that we have there, I have basically replicated the setup back home now, so I don’t need to fly to New York to do it. I can send stuff in, and we can work on it back and forth.
“So that’s one of the things that makes these songs work, is because they’re fast and they’re topical, so we can basically, we obviously did the Logan Paul song on TV, but we were able to just get it done that week, because we could send files back and forth. But yes, there is an album coming out.”
Hendry was then asked whether the album would feature all original songs, or whether fans have heard some of them already, to which Hendry replied:
“Well, I will say, they are all original songs. I won’t say any more than that; they are all original songs.”
Joe Hendry A Proven WWE NXT Main Roster Call-Up Success Story Already
As has often been the case in WWE after the dust settles on WrestleMania, the NXT roster has seen some huge changes with several top names departing for Raw and SmackDown, making way for new faces to arrive and make a splash on Tuesday nights.
While stars such as Mason Rook, Lizzy Rain and Naraku look set to become the new leading lights on NXT, Joe Hendry, Ricky Saints, Blake Monroe, Ethan Page, Sol Ruca and Fatal Influence leave large shoes to be filled.
It’s never a guarantee that NXT stars will find their footing on Raw or SmackDown, but early signs seem promising for all names mentioned (albeit Blake Monroe has only been shown via vignettes thus far).
As many would have predicted, Joe Hendry is already looking to be one of the biggest success stories, with the Scottish star’s charisma and already wide fan base setting him up for big things in the future.
Logan Paul is a perfect foil for Hendry right off the bat, and with established names such as the Street Profits and Seth Rollins engaged in a feud with The Vision, Hendry is already rubbing shoulders with some big names on Raw.
