The Miz has praised the ‘unreal’ rise of Trick Williams, Je’von Evans and Oba Femi in WWE, calling them the ‘next big things’.
In recent months, a new influx of younger WWE stars have made the move up to the main roster from NXT, most notably the arrivals of Trick Williams, Oba Femi and Je’von Evans.
The three men all came up together through NXT, with them all being part of a three-way main event last year at NXT Stand & Deliver, and one WWE star has praised all three as the ‘next big things’ in the company.
The Miz Praises ‘Unreal’ Rise Of WWE Stars
Speaking on Almost Athletes with Dude Perfect, The Miz discussed his rise in WWE through developmental, comparing it to today’s developmental program.
Miz would then go on to praise the ‘unreal’ rise of the three aforementioned talents, with him branding them as ‘the next big things’.
He said:
“Right now we have our NXT Performance Center, and Trick and Je’von, they are products of our Performance Center, and let me tell you, for them to come into WWE and rise as fast as they have risen is unreal.
“We didn’t have the Performance Center back then, it wasn’t around. We have the Performance Center, they have Shawn Michaels down there, and a ton of talent teachers and coaches that come down there and coach them, and bring them up.
“Usually when you come to SmackDown or Raw, it takes a while for the fans to connect, to understand your character. They’re already understanding it. Trick and Je’von and Oba, they are I would say the next big things. They are doing such superb things out there.”

More New WWE NXT Stars Being Called Up Soon?
With WWE’s recent mass releases, there are now even more spots opening up on the WWE main roster, with a focus on youth movement now a priority in the company.
While NXT has lost names such as Ricky Saints, Ethan Page and Joe Hendry since WrestleMania 42, all three men are currently well into their 30s, so while they may all have decently high ceilings on the main roster, they also don’t necessarily fit into the new ‘youth movement’ the company is after.
Sol Ruca recently made her WWE main roster debut, and absolutely would fit into that category, as would any potential future WWE NXT call ups, with names such as Lola Vice, Tatum Paxley and Kelani Jordan the next ones to make the move to Raw or SmackDown to add much needed depth to the women’s divisions.
