Former NJPW IWGP Heavyweight Champion Naraku has commented after his WWE in-ring debut, sending a message to the NXT roster.

The star formerly known as “EVIL” wrestled his first WWE match on the May 12 NXT episode, defeating Lince Dorado in under five minutes.

While the Japanese star did briefly comment on his win in the ring following his match, Naraku has now shared more comments with the WWE Japan Twitter account.

In a new video, Naraku promises that he will take over NXT and win the NXT Championship real soon, stating:

“Hey, you saw that, huh? This right here, this is the power of me, Naraku, you bastard. Listen up, NXT too, I’m going to take over the whole damn place real soon.

“That NXT Championship, it’s going to belong to me, Naraku. You got that? Better remember it.”

Naraku re-shared this video with his own caption, writing:

NARAKU is not a man of honor. I am pure evil.

Got it? Remember it well.

Naraku is not the only recent debutant vying for the NXT Championship, with Mason Rook – fka Will Kroos – previously attacking Tony D’Angelo, and being confronted by the NXT Champion when signing his contract on the May 12 show.

While it may seem counterintuitive to have a former world champion from the biggest company in Japan start his WWE career on the developmental brand, Triple H recently stated that AJ Styles told him to make sure every new signing goes through NXT, following his own experience of starting out on the main roster.

AJ Styles recently said that he’s wearing “a couple different hats” backstage in WWE, including with recruitment, so there is a chance that Styles will have been working with Naraku ahead of his debut match.
