Boston Celtics Shooting Guard Derrick White has detailed his & Joe Mazzulla’s experience attending the March 23 episode of WWE Raw and his coach’s talks with Triple H whilst at the show.
Emanating from the TD Garden in Boston, MA, the March 23 episode of WWE Raw was watched live by two special guests who are no strangers to the city and TD Garden itself: Boston Celtics Head Coach Joe Mazzulla and Shooting Guard Derrick White.
During the show both Mazzulla and White were shown in the crowd watching on, Mazzulla began playfully brawling with White, something that the live crowd inside the Garden got a lot of enjoyment from.
The moment saw some attention from the sports media, and during his appearance on Run It Back on Fan Duel TV, White was asked about his experience attending Raw alongside his Head Coach.
Revealing it was his idea initially to attend Raw, White said:
“I just started watching it a little bit and I realized they were going to be in the Garden and they were going to be in town so I was like ‘I’m going to go’ and Joe (Mazzulla) was like ‘I’m going to go too.’
“It was just like a fun thing, we were kind of just chilling, we were in the suite for a while and then he’s like ‘You’ve never been to one of these before, you’ve got to see it ringside.’ Him and his son and me and my wife went down there and they’re like, ‘Alright we’re going to put you on TV.’ And he’s like alright we’ve got to kind of do a little something, like how’s it going to go?’
“That was a lot of fun actually, he was like, ‘Next time we go out there we’re going to have to get in the ring and actually have a fight or something.’ So that was a lot of fun, it turned out really well.”

White would then reveal that Mazzulla spoke with Triple H whilst at WWE Raw in an attempt to learn about how WWE do business and how he can translate that to the Celtics:
“He likes learning from different people too. So I think him and Triple H were talking before and he was learning from how they go about their business and how he can turn it to the Celtics. So he’s always looking for different ways to learn.”
