Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan has commented on her potential plans for the upcoming WWE SummerSlam 2026 event.

SummerSlam is set to take place on August 1 and 2 in Minneapolis, Minnesota as the next PLE after June 27’s Night of Champions.

In an interview with Inside South Florida, Liv Morgan was asked about her potential plans at SummerSlam and what she’s excited about the most.

She said:

“I’m just excited for the event honestly. SummerSlam is one of our biggest events of the year. I like to call it the biggest party of the summer, so be there or be square.

“We still have a couple of weeks leading into the event so I’m very excited to see how things unfold. Because we just had WrestleMania, and WrestleMania to me kind of signifies the wrestling new year – everything is new and fresh and evolving. You can really expect the unexpected on this road to SummerSlam.

“So I have no idea what’s in store, but I know it’s gonna be a good journey to get there. So I’m excited.

“Obviously I’m expecting to be there, I’m expecting to defend and retain my WWE Women’s World Championship, so my eyes are open and I have a few tricks up my sleeve, I’m always ready.

“But I have no idea. I just know it’s gonna be iconic.”

Morgan won the Women’s World Championship from Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania in April, and has yet to defend it since then.

It appeared she was planned for a rematch against Vaquer, but Vaquer suffered an injury that took her out of action, and it seems like Morgan has been waiting for new plans in the meantime.

Despite being the current Women’s World Champion, Morgan is in the WWE Queen of the Ring tournament, of which the winner is set to earn a title shot at SummerSlam.

In theory, that means she could win the tournament and get a title shot against WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley in an effort to become double champion.
