There has been an injury update on former Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer after being attacked on last night’s WWE Raw show.

Former Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer has not competed since WrestleMania 42, where she lost her title to Liv Morgan in a short match on night one.

On last night’s episode of WWE Raw, Stephanie was jumped backstage by Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez of the Judgment Day, with Roxanne and Raquel ramming an equipment crate into Stephanie’s shoulder.

Later in the show, Michael Cole provided an update on Stephanie’s status, announcing that she had suffered a second degree AC sprain in her shoulder, and that she would be out of action ‘for a bit’.

Stephanie Vaquer WWE Injury Legitimate

In an update on Stephanie’s status from the Wrestling Observer, Stephanie’s injury is said to be legitimate, and is likely the sprain mentioned on last night’s episode of Raw.

It is not known exactly when the injury was sustained, or how long she will be out of action for.

We wish Stephanie a full and complete recovery from her injury.

Next Challengers For Liv Morgan’s Women’s World Championship

With Stephanie Vaquer now seemingly out of action, plans for a potential rematch between her and Liv Morgan may have now been scrapped, meaning Liv will need a new challenger for her title.

The obvious choices are her current Judgment Day stablemates Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, with Finn Balor teasing a potential split between Roxanne and the rest of the Judgment Day on last night’s Raw show, and Roxanne picking up the win in her match later in the night, she may be the one being set up for the next shot at Liv and her title.

There are also IYO SKY and Asuka, who are finally set to have their singles encounter at WWE Backlash. The winner of the match at Backlash would have to be considered among the favourites to be the next challenger for Liv Morgan given the current state of the women’s division on Raw.

With the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments taking place soon, we may soon find out who will be challenging for the Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam, whether Liv Morgan still holds the title by then or not.
