At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in the biggest win of his career.
After Lesnar seemingly retired in the post match, “The Ruler” now has made a huge statement that starts to build his legacy in WWE, which led to him announcing the Oba Femi Open Challenge.
With this new open challenge looking to give opportunities to those on the roster, it should be very interesting to see which stars step up to the plate to accept this new concept.
Here are eight WWE stars to potentially answer the Oba Femi open challenge.
8. Kofi Kingston
On the April 27 edition of Monday Night Raw, Oba Femi defeated Grayson Waller after overhearing Waller run his mouth about not getting opportunities.
This led to the post match where Femi announced his open challenge to give some stars a chance to test themselves against him.
After Waller’s loss against Femi, Grayson’s New Day partner Kofi Kingston could be next up to accept the challenge of “The Ruler.”
Being one of the most decorated stars on the WWE roster, Kingston could provide one of the tougher tests that Femi will have faced since arriving on Raw.
7. Omos
It is hard to find anyone who can match up well with Oba Femi based on his sheer size and presence.
Omos is the biggest competitor currently still on the WWE roster today, standing at seven feet, three inches and weighing 416 pounds.
“The Nigerian Giant” is someone who could dwarf Femi in some way and provide a huge mountain for “The Ruler” to climb.
Omos returning to WWE to answer this open challenge will offer a massive obstacle for Femi to overcome as he continues his ascent to the top of the promotion.
6. Ilja Dragunov

Ilja Dragunov captured the United States Championship upon his return from injury back in October
Someone who is no stranger to open challenges whatsoever from his time as United States Champion is Ilja Dragunov.
“The Mad Dragon” made his return from injury in October 2025 and immediately answered Sami Zayn’s US Open Challenge to win the gold.
From there, Dragunov went multiple weeks taking down challenger after challenge as the US Champion until Carmelo Hayes took the title from him in December.
Now that he is not the champion, Dragunov could regain some momentum by being the man who accepts the Oba Femi Open Challenge and tries to take down “The Ruler.”
5. Sheamus

Sheamus has been out of action with an injury he suffered back in November
Back in November 2025, Sheamus went down with an injured shoulder that required surgery.
After several months on the sidelines, “The Celtic Warrior” could be on his way back and looking for new fights to test his mettle against.
In what should be a guaranteed “banger,” Sheamus could make his return to accept the Oba Femi Open Challenge.
Sheamus and Femi colliding would be make for a compelling battle of wills that might be the kind of fight that “The Ruler” is pursuing with this open challenge concept.
4. Drew McIntyre
Back at the December 13 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Oba Femi competed in his first main roster match against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
This bout went to a no contest after outside interference from Drew McIntyre, who was feuding with Rhodes at the time.
However, Femi got upset and proceeded to put his hands on McIntyre, laying out “The Scottish Warrior” with a chokeslam.
Rekindling this issue, McIntyre could answer the Oba Femi Open Challenge not only wanting revenge for their last interaction, but also looking to rebound from his recent loss to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42.
3. Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed is currently out of action after suffering an injury during an Elimination Chamber qualifier on Raw back in February
Another WWE star who is currently on the shelf with an injury is Bronson Reed of The Vision.
Suffering a torn bicep ahead of WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Reed should be out of action for a few months.
However, depending on how long this open challenge goes on, Reed might find his way back into the fold by accepting this match against Oba Femi.
With his size, strength and unstoppable Tsunami finisher, Reed may be just the competitor who could bring the force against someone as powerful as Femi right now.
2. Bron Breakker

Both Bron Breakker and Oba Femi are upcoming WWE stars touted to become future World Champions
Speaking of The Vision, Bron Breakker recently made his return to WWE after being sidelined following emergency hernia surgery.
The second-generation star was considered one of the fastest rising talents on the WWE roster prior to his injury.
However, Breakker has been passed on the totem pole to many fans by Oba Femi, especially after his victory over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.
Looking to avenge his fellow Paul Heyman Guy’s loss at Mania and wanting his spot as the breakout star in WWE back, Breakker may be the individual with enough unbridled intensity to go toe-to-toe with “The Ruler” in his open challenge.
1. GUNTHER
GUNTHER has been the star who has never backed down from a challenge and usually takes down anyone in front of him.
From his record-breaking 666-day reign as Intercontinental Champion to earning the moniker of “The Career Killer” with wins over John Cena and AJ Styles, GUNTHER has proven himself and established his name as one to be feared.
After retiring Cena, Styles and Goldberg, GUNTHER would have surely loved to add someone like Brock Lesnar to his list of legends vanquished, but Oba Femi might have taken that from him by beating “The Beast” at WrestleMania 42.
GUNTHER would be a fierce competitor who can match Oba’s intensity and strength in what can be the latest battle of the behemoths that fans will salivate over in this open challenge.
