Liv Morgan has responded to her inclusion in the WWE Queen of the Ring tournament despite currently holding the Women’s World Championship.

As has been the case for the past couple of years, the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will take place in June leading up to the finals at Night of Champions, with the tournament winners earning World Title shots at WWE SummerSlam.

However, fans were caught off guard when the Queen of the Ring lineup was announced today after Clash In Italy, and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan was included.

Morgan has been active on social media since the announcement, responding to fans’ questions and confusion as to why she’s in the tournament despite her status as champion.

Asked to explain her spot in the Queen of the Ring, she Morgan wrote:

I, THE Liv Morgan, am a 3x world champion, 4x tag team champion, inaugural crown jewel champion, MITB winner, rumble winner, & I have no challengers for my WWC because everyone is too scared to challenge me.

Also, I have the most dominant faction in all of WWE watching my back so I totally get it. These girls are (cat emojis = ‘pussies’) but they’re not dumb.

So me being the hard working go getter that I am, have decided to enter and win the QOTR tournament because I am better than everyone else and I want it ALL. Do u understand now?

She also clearly intends on winning the tournament to challenge WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, as she wrote:

The greatest double world champion of ALLLLL TIIIIIIME 😍

Morgan’s first round match in the tournament will see her face Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss and Chelsea Green, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals to face Sol Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, Charlotte Flair or Jade Cargill.

On the other side of the bracket, the first round matches are Roxanne Perez vs IYO SKY vs Giulia vs Lash Legend, and Bayley vs Raquel Rodriguez vs Jacy Jayne vs Kiana James.

That means the final will be Morgan, Lynch, Bliss, Green, Ruca, Valkyria, Flair or Cargill vs Perez, SKY, Giulia, Legend, Bayley, Rodriguez, Jayne or James.

As noted, the Queen of the Ring final will take place at WWE Night of Champions 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 27, along with the final of the King of the Ring tournament.
