Injury updates have emerged on both Jacob Fatu and Sol Ruca ahead of today’s WWE Clash In Italy 2026 premium live event.

There had been concerns about both Fatu and Ruca heading into today and their respective championship matches against World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.

Fatu worked a WWE live event in Liverpool, England this past Thursday, winning a street fight match against Solo Sikoa.

Fatu was seen limping after the match and it emerged that he had been legitimately hurt during the match to the point WWE was considering alternative plans for Clash In Italy in case he wasn’t medically cleared.

However, during the official Clash In Italy Countdown show, Fatu was shown backstage and stated:

“You thought that I wasn’t coming? Hell nah. Jacob Fatu is live and direct at Clash In Italy.

“Hey Roman, I’m gonna put it in the air where it’s fair. Today, it’s Tribal Combat. No rules, no excuses, and for sure, ain’t no way in hell that you’re walking out tonight with that title around your waist.

“Roman, Jacob Fatu is the gladiator that will take down the Roman empire.”

Regarding Sol Ruca, reports stated she was “banged up” after her and Becky Lynch‘s short match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event last weekend.

Lynch even publicly said this past week that Ruca wasn’t medically cleared.

Appearing live on the WWE Clash In Italy Countdown show for an interview, Ruca said that she wasn’t cleared until she arrived at the event today, but upon arrival, she was cleared by doctors.

“I am doing great. I showed up today, I was not medically cleared, but I came in, went to the doctors office and they cleared me. I’m ready to go.”
