Brock Lesnar defeated Oba Femi in their WrestleMania 42 rematch at the WWE Clash In Italy event in Turin today.

Brock Lesnar made the move up to the WWE main roster back at the Royal Rumble in January, where he ended up getting into it with Brock Lesnar.

This led to Oba accepting Brock’s open challenge for a match at WrestleMania 42, with Oba scoring the dominant victory over the Beast in the opening match of WrestleMania Sunday.

After the match, Brock Lesnar left his boots and gloves in the ring before leaving with Paul Heyman to chants of ‘Thank You Lesnar’, seemingly retiring from in-ring competition.

However, Brock would make his return just weeks later, laying out Oba Femi during one of his open challenges, laying him out with multiple F5s.

Paul Heyman would later hand Adam Pearce a contract for a rematch between Brock and Oba at Clash In Italy, with the match being made official.

The rematch between Brock and Oba took place on tonight’s show, with Brock immediately hitting four F5s on Oba at the opening bell.

Brock and Oba’s fight would spill to the outside, with Oba being hit with an F5 through the announce table, before beating the count out.

However, it took 7 F5s for Brock to ultimately defeat Oba on tonight’s show, evening up their wins over each other.

Brock Lesnar Vs. Oba Femi Shouldn’t Have Happened At WWE Clash In Italy?

Regardless of the outcome of today’s match between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi, there are question marks over whether it should have happened at all.

Everything just felt so perfect about what happened at WrestleMania – from the build, to the action in the ring, to Lesnar’s appararent retirement afterwards.

Despite the match only being under five minutes, Dave Meltzer even gave it four stars, because everything about the occasion had worked out so perfectly.

It didn’t really matter whether Femi or Lesnar scored the win today – it was never going to end up being better than if WWE just left well enough alone and pushed forwards with something new for Femi.

Even if Lesnar wasn’t finished up for good, he could have moved onto something else and avoided Femi entirely, and probably that would have worked out better as well.
