WWE Raw star Bayley has commented on her upcoming NXT appearances, stating that it’s time to go scout.

An advertisement on the May 12 NXT episode confirmed that Bayley, Grayson Waller and Intercontinental Champion Penta will be at this weekend’s NXT house shows.

Ahead of Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s shows in Buffalo, NY, Canton, OH and Johnstown, PA respectively, Bayley has teased that she will be scouting potential opponents for a major event.

The former WWE Women’s Champion took to Twitter to write:

When the GOAT @JohnCena creates an opportunity for NXT talent to be seen, then it’s time to go scout….

See you guys this weekend 🫡🤼‍♀️ @WWENXT

This comes after John Cena announcing the John Cena Classic, an event which will pit main roster talent against NXT stars to crown a John Cena Classic Champion.

The unique part about the John Cena Classic event is that the fans will decide the inaugural holder of the new championship, with every star who wrestles on the show eligible, regardless of if they won or lost their bout.

Amid speculation about whether the John Cena Classic event will feature a tournament, or just individual matches, a report has indicated that WWE hasn’t yet decided on the format of the event, with it being described as a “work in progress”.

While the format is uncertain, Bayley has already reacted to a pitch for her to face NXT Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley at the event, asking Paxley if she thinks she’s ready.

Bayley is pretty much the perfect main roster representative for a card like this, with how much she cares about giving back to wrestling.

While that was previously her on-screen character, Bayley has really proven herself as a role model in recent years, hosting her Lodestone women’s wrestling training camps to help out future stars.

The former WWE Women’s Champion was also the only main roster star to lose to an NXT name at Saturday Night’s Main Event: John Cena’s Final Match in December 2025, coming up short against Sol Ruca, who has since joined the Raw roster.
