WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has praised an NXT star for bringing the best out of their opponents following this week’s episode.

The main event of the May 12 show saw Kelani Jordan defeat Kendal Grey in a match which has already received a lot of praise online.

During the Busted Open After Dark podcast, Bully Ray highlighted Kendal Grey as a star who brings out the best in her opponents.

Calling Grey a “freaking wrestling machine”, Bully Ray said:

“NXT just went off the air, and incredible main event, with Kelani Jordan and Kendal Grey. Kendal Grey brings out the best in every woman she wrestles.

“I know you’re thinking ‘Uncle Bully, how is that possible? She’s so young, she’s so new, she’s just getting started.’ Yeah, but that girl can go. Kendal is a freaking wrestling machine.

“I’ve seen her bring out the best in Lola Vice, and tonight I saw her bring out the best in Kelani Jordan. And in bringing out the best in Kelani Jordan, Kelani defeated Kendal, that’s a monster win for Kelani Jordan tonight.”

While Kendal Grey was established as a top prospect in NXT after winning the Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline in December 2025, many fans really started to take notice of her following her NXT Women’s Championship #1 contender’s match against Lola Vice on the March 31 NXT episode.

At the time, Bully Ray said Grey vs Vice was “far superior” to recent bouts on the main roster, and has since argued that in the ring, Grey has as much talent and ability as Charlotte Flair.
