Crew From WWE Produced G4 ‘Arena’ Show Quit Before Shutdown G4

WWE star Xavier Woods became a slightly less busy man last night, when it was announced that G4TV was being shut down, just a year after it’s relaunch.

Woods, AKA Austin Creed, featured on the show as a host for ‘Arena’ alongside Gina Darling. Woods took to social media shortly after the announcement of G4’s cancellation last night to react to the news.

Speaking about the cancellation, Comcast CEO Dave Scott said the following about G4’s discontinuation:

“Over the past several months, we worked hard to generate … interest in G4, but viewership is low and the network has not achieved sustainable financial results. This is certainly not what we hoped for, and, as a result, we have made the very difficult decision to discontinue G4’s operations, effective immediately.”

In a new article from the Washington Post regarding the cancellation of G4, it was stated that various crew members from ‘Arena’, one of the show’s hosted by Xavier Woods, and a key part of the deal between WWE and G4, quit the show last week, per various ex-employees.

Xavier Woods had spoken about his desire to be a host on the show when the relaunch was first announced last year, with him eventually getting a spot on the show.

The most infamous moment from Woods’ time on the show came last November, when he reacted to the news of WWE releases live on stream.
