Xavier Woods Comments On Clip Of Him Reacting To WWE Releases Live On G4

WWE made it’s most recent batch of releases back on November 18, when eight main roster stars were released from their contract, including John Morrison and the remaining members of Hit Row.

One clip went viral the night after, which showed SmackDown star Xavier Woods seemingly reacting to the news live on his G4 show.

Ariel Helwani recently spoke to the King of the Ring, where he asked him about the clip of him going around. Woods responded, confirming that was indeed what we were seeing in the clip. He said:

“Yeah, it sucks dude. It sucks because those people are my friends, and some of those guys didn’t even get the chance to have a match on TV, you know? So, it always sucks hearing that news and I saw that floating around too, someone sent it to me and I legit, I just needed to take a second, because I knew like we still had an hour left of the live stream, and that is my job, I had to do my job, but I also had to check on my friends and make sure people are OK. I’m not trying to sound like ‘oh, me, me, me’ like no like, obviously it happens, it’s a job it happens everywhere, but that doesn’t make it suck any less when you aren’t working with your friends anymore.”

Woods is currently embroiled in a feud with Universal Champion Roman Reigns, whose next challenger will be decided on tonight’s (November 26) SmackDown.
