Current IWGP Tag Team Champion Mark Davis of Aussie Open has pitched a main event for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in August.
Davis and his partner Kyle Fletcher captured the titles from Bishamon at NJPW’s Sakura Genesis event, and they brought the titles to AEW Rampage last week.
Aussie Open defended the titles against the Best Friends in the opening match of AEW Rampage on Friday night, with Aussie Open retaining the titles.
Rampage had a major lead in from the NBA on TNT, which led to a ratings spike for this week’s edition of the show.
Specifically, the first few minutes of the show, featuring the title match, had over 1.4 million viewers, making it one of the most watched segments of AEW in it’s history.
Davis saw the stat, responding to a tweet touting the viewership, where he pitched a big main event to Tony Khan for All In.
He said:
hey tk i got your fat wembley headliner right here brother
Aussie Open have made regular appearances for AEW and ROH in recent weeks.
They also captured the NJPW Strong Tag Team Championship at the Capital Collision event last weekend.
