Tonight on AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin went one on one with Jimmy Havoc for a chance to wrestle Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship next week on AEW Dynamite.
In a match with no hardcore style spots, minus a few biting spots, the two men battled back and forth. Commentary put over the fact they were out to prove they were more than just hardcore spots.

I’m not sure anyone told the crowd. It seemed they were expecting something a bit different.
However, the action picked up during the final sequence. Allin was a bit hungry himself.

He countered into a finger bite of his own. He then hit a stunner.
He then hit the coffin drop for the victory. That move is something else. It takes some great aim to hit it with the precision he does.
He gets the 1,2,3 and moves on to face Chris Jericho. Next week, Chris Jericho vs. Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship will take place on Dynamite.
Allin is a wrestler on the rise in AEW. He took Cody to the limit.
He was able to make a splash with his Cracker Barrel spot at All Out. He also had a cracking match with Cima on AEW Dark.
He likely won’t get the win next week, but he is quickly becoming a major player for All Elite.
