The planned date and location for this year’s AEW Full Gear event have been revealed.
AEW is currently preparing for the September 4 All Out pay-per-view, which will emanate from the NOW Arena in Chicago.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), several AEW talent and staff have been informed that the working plan is for the next pay-per-view, Full Gear, to air from Newark, New Jersey.
The report also noted that the event is currently planned for the weekend of November 19-20.
AEW ran the Prudential Center in Newark for Dynamite, Dark: Elevation and Rampage tapings in January. Fightful noted that they have yet to confirm whether the Prudential Center is the targeted venue for Full Gear 2022.
In the main event of Full Gear 2021, Hangman Page defeated Kenny Omega to win the AEW World Championship. Omega stepped away from the ring following this match to undergo multiple surgeries. He returned to the ring for the AEW Trios Championship tournament which kicked off in August.
At the upcoming All Out event, CM Punk will challenge for Jon Moxley’s AEW World Championship. Moxley notably defeated CM Punk on the August 24 edition of Dynamite in their Undisputed AEW World Title bout in a matter of minutes.
