Did HOOK Beat Samoa Joe For The AEW World Championship AEW

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite the commercial free main event featured Samoa Joe putting his AEW World Championship on the line against HOOK.

In an exciting main event, challenger HOOK took on champion Samoa Joe after having called his shot on last week’s edition of Dynamite.

While the challenger put up a valiant effort, he took several big spots from Joe that left him seemingly out of contention.

However after Samoa Joe hit a Muscle Buster on HOOK and he kicked out of the finishing move at one, he made a triumphant albeit brief comeback against the champion.

Creating some momentary magic by which it seemed possible that HOOK could actually battle back, he nearly locked Joe into his submission hold, the Redrum however Joe was skillfully able to reverse.

Reversing HOOK into his own Coquina Clutch finishing submission hold, Samoa Joe would ultimately prevail by referee decision after HOOK failed to respond to his arm being raised three times.

However after the match, HOOK still refused to stay down, summoning Joe back for more not once but twice before the closing angle saw a run-out save from Hangman Adam Page.

Notably, Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) also lurked, leaving Joe staring down two big potential Revolution opponents.

Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, another title match for AEW Revolution was made official while more big matches were teased.
