Dominik Mysterio NXT No Mercy 2023 Opponent Confirmed

Dominik Mysterio NXT No Mercy 2023 Opponent Confirmed WWE

On tonight’s September 4 episode of WWE NXT, the NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio was the special guest referee for a match with title implications.

Dirty Dom was the referee for a match between Dragon Lee and Mustafa Ali to determine who would get a title shot at his title at NXT’s upcoming premium live event, No Mercy 2023.

Dom a wore special purple striped referee’s jersey that in a backstage segment he noted was given to him courtesy of Mami (after he was spotted ripping pages out of a book reading, ‘WWE Rule Book’).

Obviously Dirty Dom didn’t operate in the cleanest manner, pulling a fast count for Ali as he pinned Dragon Lee to end the match.

In a post-match angle, Mustafa Ali took a moment to celebrate his win, before clocking Dominik Mysterio ahead of their now scheduled bout for No Mercy 2023.

Given that Ali only won because of Dom’s fast count, we’ll keep you updated if the match gets changed, but as it stands, it’s Mysterio vs Ali at No Mercy on September 30.

Elsewhere on tonight’s NXT, another big match made official for next week’s September 12 episode for the NXT Women’s Championship.

WWE main roster star Becky Lynch appeared in a pre-taped video to challenge Tiffany Stratton to a title shot next week on NXT – you can read all about that by clicking this link.
