February 3 SmackDown Breaks Company Record

February 3 SmackDown Breaks Company Record WWE

The most recent (February 3) edition of SmackDown has broken a huge company record for WWE, continuing its streak of financial windfalls.

At the beginning of February, the company posted its annual revenue report, revealing that it had mad $1.3 billion in 2022 – the highest amount in the company’s history.

That isn’t the only achievement WWE has scored this week however, as it appears that its most recent edition of SmackDown in Greenville was the highest-grossing event in that market in the company’s history.

Speaking on Twitter, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful highlighted the recent milestone:

“Tonight’s WWE internal live events report indicated a complete sellout for SmackDown in Greenville and the highest-grossing event in the market in company history.

“This has been happening with regularity of late.”

The episode was the first SmackDown to follow the previous weekend’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and advanced the acclaimed Bloodline storyline between Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns.

In the episode, Zayn finally turned on the Tribal chief, challenging him to a match at Elimination Chamber for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Elimination Chamber will take place on February 18 in Montreal, Canada.
