We now know the first qualifier for the NXT Women’s Title number one contender ladder match at NXT TakeOver: Tampa on April 4.
On tonight’s episode of NXT on the USA Network, Chelsea Green became the first qualifier via her win over Shotzi Blackheart in a short match.
This will mark Green’s first TakeOver match. The winner will be first in line for a shot at the NXT Women’s Title after WrestleMania, be that against either Rhea Ripley or her ‘Mania challenger Charlotte Flair.
It has not been announced how many participants will be in the ladder match, but more qualifiers will be taking place in the coming weeks.
In other notable news from tonight’s show, Keith Lee will defend his North American Title on next week’s episode.
