AEW’s Nyla Rose has fired back at a fan criticising another AEW name’s presentation for being too similar to a popular WWE star’s look.

Tiffany Stratton has gained a lot of popularity since joining the main roster in February.

With a lot more eyes on her now compared to her NXT run, Stratton has gained a lot of fans during her first few months on SmackDown.

Another star who’s prominently featured on the US wrestling scene is AEW’s Mariah May, who has been paired with AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm in recent months.

Jim Valley of the Wrestling Observer recently sparked controversy by suggesting that May shouldn’t wear pink, as when she does, she looks too much like Stratton.

He argued that because WWE has the bigger audience, May should be the one to change her AEW presentation.

Nyla Rose has now weighed in, sharing a photo to Twitter reading:

“That’s not how it works, that’s not how any of this works.”

She captioned the post:

“Oohhhh boy!!! The new “dumbest f**king thing ever” just dropped!!!”

Many fans argued that May shouldn’t have to change her gear, especially as she has been wrestling for longer than Stratton.

Regardless, both performers are establishing themselves in their current promotions, performing different roles on their rosters from one another.
